Even if you aren’t Irish, if you are anything like us, you can’t help but wish you were on one special day of the year – St. Patrick’s Day! Of course, you don’t have to be from the Emerald Isle in order to participate and so today, we’re sharing some of our favorite party ideas to get you in the spirit.
Thankfully, there’s no need to hit the dollar store to find fun decor – with some simple planning and a touch of craftiness, you can create a St. Patty’s Party that everyone will love. You don’t have to have the luck of the Irish, either. Happily, we have scoured our favorite crafty blogs to find amazing ideas, DIYs, decorating ideas and even food and drink to make your party memorable.
St. Patrick’s Day Decor
We love this idea for a St. Patty’s Day table runner over on Pizzazzerie! Using moss, gold chocolate coins and candles along the length of the table is such a simple idea but classy and effective!
How stunning is this beautiful bar cart from Sugar and Charm? We love the use of a large boxwood wreath alongside beautiful green and white blooms and a mix of vintage glassware. It becomes the perfect spot for guests to refill their whisky drinks or Guinness!
Another tablescape idea from Pizzazzerie which is both refined and elegant. Tulips and greenery abound alongside little festive ‘pots of gold’ – small gold-sprayed bowls filled with chocolate. Well, it doesn’t get any sweeter than that!
St. Patrick’s Day Crafts
Creative party favors are always fun but these little gold pouches filled with candy and treats get into the spirit of the holiday with rainbow brights and pots of gold as inspiration. Leave one for each guest at a table setting or fill a bowl for friends to take with them when leaving. You can find the full tutorial over on Studio DIY.
If you want to participate in showing your holiday spirit, why not wear one of these cute crocheted pins on your lapel or top this St. Patrick’s Day – or even better, make them for your next party? They use a very simple crochet stitch but Sugar and Charm have provided a full tutorial to show you exactly how to make them!
If you are looking to inject a bit of fun into your party – and of course, why wouldn’t you be? – then you just have to check out Studio DIY’s fantastic ‘Kiss Me I’m Irish’ printables featuring packaging for simple dollar store or party store wax lips! Laughter and silliness are practically guaranteed!
Another one from the masterminds over at Studio DIY (seriously, is there no end to their creativity?) with these gorgeous easy to make party poppers in festive green, white and gold! You can check out the full tutorial over on their blog.
St. Patrick Day Food & Drink
How much fun are these fantastic donuts decorated with Lucky Charms? Whether you wish to make your own donuts or simply buy them at the shops (we won’t tell!), Studio DIY has provided three different donut decorating tutorials so click that link to see even more ideas.
We adore this elegant display for your next St. Patrick’s Day party but the vintage gold glasses really take it to the next level for serving up this easy no-bake dessert! Check out Sugar and Charm‘s video tutorial on the blog to find out how to make it – we promise, it’s super easy!
And finally, we’ve got not just a stylish drink recipe but a super simple craft DIY over on Sugar and Cloth. Those bright greens mixed with sky blue is such a stunning combination for a party theme but we love the idea of mixing ice cream, Irish cream and peppermint for the perfect St. Patty’s Day treat.
